Thank you, Lawrence Vance!
Those who know me know that I love my children more than anything in my life, except for my Savior, but I have been torn between supporting my military sons and my disapproval of the President's activities in the Middle East. Then I read Lawrence Vance's commentary today, and I wish there was some way to hug the man! I believe there are some men who are called to military service, and they do a fantastic job of showing Christ to their fellow service members, but it is a mistake to say that all Christians are serving God when they enlist, which I have heard more than once, living in the Bible Belt as I do. Christians need to think long and hard about military service, and if they feel called to serve and protect, there are plenty of places they can serve right here in our own country.
